Two years ago, I dropped out of a Ph.D. program in computer science to be a reporter. I saw a need for good journalism in the world and have been chasing that ideal since, with a brief layover as a hostel-dwelling bum in Asia, Africa and Europe.

My focus is now on environmental reporting and the Missouri legislature, but I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for the next lead.

Resume available by request.
